Scott Young

Growing up in Manhattan Beach, California, Scott Young developed a passion for life on the water at an early age. His introduction to boating began at King Harbor Marina, where his father’s powerboat sparked an interest that would shape his future. Surrounded by neighboring sailing families, Scott was introduced to racing, coastal cruising, and trips to Catalina Island, quickly developing a love for sailing that never left him.

Determined to learn as much as possible, Scott enrolled in youth sailing programs at Palos Verdes Yacht Club. After completing his first course, he was invited to lead the club’s youth sailing program for the next two summers. During that time, he taught young sailors, organized races, and helped cultivate the next generation of boating enthusiasts.

Scott’s passion for the marine industry continued to grow as he worked at King Harbor Marine Center, where he gained hands-on experience servicing yachts and assisting customers in the marine supply store. Whether he was working, racing, or cruising, boating became a daily part of his life.

Seeking new adventures, Scott later moved to Maui, where he combined two lifelong passions: sailing and surfing. His time in Hawaii further strengthened his connection to the ocean and the boating lifestyle he loves sharing with others today.

Family remains at the center of Scott’s life. He and his wife, Jennifer, have raised three children, Ryan, Sarah, and Ian, while building a lifestyle centered around time on the water. Scott is especially proud of his oldest son, Ryan, who serves as a United States Marine.

Today, Scott brings decades of boating experience, technical knowledge, and a lifelong passion for sailing to every client relationship. Having spent much of his life around boats, marinas, and the sailing community, he understands that purchasing a yacht is about much more than the boat itself. It is about creating experiences, pursuing adventures, and building lasting memories on the water.

Whether you’re purchasing your first yacht or planning your next voyage, Scott is dedicated to helping you find the right boat to fit your lifestyle and goals. His approachable nature, extensive boating background, and commitment to exceptional service make him a trusted resource for sailors and boaters alike.
