Why the Fountaine Pajot MY4.S?

When we sat down with the couple during the Annapolis Sailboat Show in the Fall of 2024 immediately after taking delivery of their new boat, they shared with us why they chose this power catamaran from Fountaine Pajot and what special cruising plan lay ahead.

While compact at first glance, the MY4.S offered exactly the amount of space and volume — including headroom — that Tom and Rayma were after, while meeting the strict size requirements of cruising the “Great Loop”.

The Great Loop is a network of waterways that allows recreational boaters to circumnavigate the eastern United States and part of Canada. The Great Loop includes the Atlantic and Gulf Intracoastal Waterways, the Great Lakes, the Erie Canal, the Mississippi and Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, the New York State Canals, and the Canadian Canals. About 6,000 miles of navigation offering a unique, mobile lifestyle keeping boaters away from mainstream culture, while staying in sight of land for most of the time.
