Raised on the shores of Galveston Bay, Jay Vige’s first boating memories were the fishing trips he enjoyed alongside his father. These early experiences led Jay toward the competitive side of sailboat racing during his teenage years. After a brief time in the oil fields, Jay returned to professional sailboat racing and a career that spanned several decades and was marked by numerous national and international accolades, making him a respected figure in high-end sailboat racing teams across the United States.

As a yacht consultant with ACY Yachts, Jay bridges the exhilarating realm of sailboat racing with the serene lifestyle of yacht ownership. His extensive experience and deep understanding of sailboats’ design and operation enrich his consultations, ensuring that clients feel confident and informed. With Jay’s guidance, clients are well-equipped to navigate their aspirations—from adventurous Caribbean voyages to tranquil afternoons sailing along the Florida coast.

Away from the helm, Jay is rooted in his community in League City, Texas, where he lives with his wife. A proud father, Jay treasures his family time and, come Sunday, he’s often found indulging in his favorite pastime—shooting sporting clays with friends. Though his relationship with the sea has evolved over the years, Jay’s connection to the water remains as deep as ever, making him a terrific asset for the yachting community.
