Hailing from Long Island, NY, Donna learned to sail on a Sunfish in high school and fell in love. A couple of decades passed when her husband expressed an interest in boating. She insisted they learn to sail and for several summers they cruised the local waters of the Great South Bay and Long Island Sound with their 2 young sons. After attending an Annapolis Boat Show she and her husband were smitten and six months later they began their new life here in Annapolis.
Having spent most of her career in the automotive industry, she worked as an insurance claims examiner before moving to dealership accounting and then office manager. Donna joined ACY in 2021. Excited to apply her skills and continue to learn and grow in her new field, she enjoys bringing together the various individuals and tasks necessary to complete a commissioning project.
Donna was very active in the junior sailing community in Annapolis until her children graduated, often hosting their college sailing teams for local regattas. She is a Naval Academy sponsor parent. Donna also enjoys baking, theme parties, and spending time with friends at the yacht club.
